NBVA #5 Seeding List and Setup and Pack Down Crews


Due to the torrential heavy rainfall NBVA have made the decision to cancel the NBVA #5 Tournament for the AAA/AA/A Division on Saturday 8th February 2020.

We will advise if the BBB/BB Division on Sunday 9th February will be cancelled by Saturday afternoon (4PM) so please make sure to check back here for further updates.

Given the current weather and severe weather warnings in place for Sydney we have the best interest of all our players to cancel Saturday’s AAA/AA/A tournament as the conditions are not playable in the intense rainfall.

Note: The AAA/AA/A tournament will not be rescheduled due to calendar availability and all AAA/AA/A refunds will be processed shortly.


The NBVA #5 Tournament Seeding List is now available for the NBVA #5 this Saturday, 8 February and Sunday 9 February 2020.


6:45am:  Set-up crew
7:30am – 7:45am Sign in opens. All players must be checked in by 7.45am.
7:45am – Draws completed
8:00am – Player meeting
8:15am – First matches start on all courts

As always be sure to be on time to guarantee entry.

Draw Format
AAA, AA and A divisions will have 8 teams each and play Modified Pool Play format.

BBB, BB and B divisions will have 8 teams each (unless the Tournament Committee reserves the right to combine divisions if there are insufficient numbers) and play a Single Set Round Robin, Single Set Quarters, 3 Set Semi-Finals and Final

AAA Uniforms
Teams who compete in the AAA division must compete in matching uniforms.  In the instance of extreme (cold or heat), compression or other garments (Skins, etc) may be worn by the team after approval by the Tournament Director.


  • Matching bikini tops (purchased via NBVA)
  • Matching bikini bottoms, bike shorts and board shorts


  • Matching singlet top (purchased via NBVA)
  • Bare chests are NOT permitted
  • Matching board shorts

All players are scheduled to help with the Tournament set-up and pack down for either AAA/AA/A Division on Saturday 8 February or BBB/BB/B Division on Sunday 9 February 2020.

Please check to see where you have been allocated to help with below. If you are unable to make it please arrange to swap with someone on the list.

Note: The pack down crew are all required to stay to the end of the tournament to help pack down the equipment.  Please see the Tournament Director before leaving the beach.
