Friday Timeline: U16 & 18 Divisions
- 8:15 – 8:45 am – sign-in
- 8:45 am – technical meeting
- 9:00 am – first matches start
- 3:30 pm – expected finish
Saturday Timeline: U14 & 15 Divisions
- 10:00 – 10:15 am – sign-in
- 10:15 am – technical meeting
- 10:30 am – first matches start
- 3:00 pm – expected finish
Number of team members:
U14 Mixed division is played 3 or 4 a-side and may have 5 team members if players wish to take turns. Note: A parent from each U14 team is asked to volunteer to help with the free ball toss to their own team as we will use the Triple Ball format (Serve-Free Ball-Free Ball) (we’ll help explain this!)
U15 division is played 3 a-side and may have 4 team members if players wish to take turns.
U16 and U18 divisions are played 2 a-side (pairs) and teams consist of only 2 players.
How to choose your division:
In preparation for the beach season, players are asked to register in their age group for 2027. The age group they will compete at Youth Nationals.
- U14: Born 2014-2015+
- U15: Born 2013
- U16: Born 2012
- U18: Born 2010 / 2011
**Flexibility may be provided to new players (non-state level) who wish to play in one division younger.
***Flexibility may be provided for state level players to play up one division older . Otherwise , state level players are to play in their 2027 age category.
How to Register:
Step 1 – Ensure your VNSW Annual membership is up to date through your volleyball club.
If you do not have one, you may complete this through the NBVA registration link below. (Recreational Beach category or above)
Step 2 – Register for the tournament here / checkout.
- Each player must register and pay individually.
- Please designate one player as your Team Lead, and choose a Team Name.
- All other players should register as a Team Partner.
- At the checkout, please provide info about your team name, your team mates or request to be placed on a team. Also join the WhatsApp’s below.
- In U15 and U14 divisions you may also choose to register as an Individual (no team) and we will endeavour to assist.
Note that merging of Divisions may occur based on registrations.
If there is no stock remaining in a division, we will open up a WAITLIST option. We will review overall tournament entries to determine if we have the capacity to expand a popular division that may currently be full so please use the WAITLIST so we see the demand and do our best to accommodate.
