It was a great turnout of 28 teams entered across 3 divisions for the first Summer Mixed Tournament of the year on Sunday 11 February.

Players enjoyed lots of pool play matches and teams were tested in the 30 degree heat and windy conditions by mid-afternoon.

In the AA Division #1 seeds Marc Carroll & Chantal Tung took out the top division winning 21-15 & 21-16 in the final against Kim Damevin & Pamela Hatweiger, who earlier upset the #2 seeds Peter Fountotos & Marie Nguyen in a semi-final 2-1.

51 teams across 4 divisions battled for the prizes on an overcast, humid day which turned out much more pleasant in the afternoon with clear skies and a nice sea breeze.

 The Australia Day weekend tournament is usually well attended but many regular seeded players were not playing which gave others a chance for a position in their respective divisions.
